About 3
Kittens
Recently, 3 Kittens was purchased by three women from
it's long-time owner, Karen Weiberg. Cis, Julie and Laura are thrilled to
be the new proprietors, and while some changes are in store, 3 Kittens will
remain essentially the same. In some ways, 3 Kittens is coming back to its
roots, since it was originally started by three women in 1974. Come in and
see what's new and different -- and what is still the essence of 3 Kittens.
With three new owners, we are all busy introducing ourselves to our
customers.
- Cis has been working and teaching knitting at 3 Kittens for nine
years, while having a corporate career as a manager for GE. Cis is the
general manager of the store.
- Julie has a background in marketing and has been
the backbone of the needlepoint department at the store for the past three years. Julie
continues to manage the needlepoint area as well as handling all advertising
and marketing.
- Laura has been knitting for over 20 years and has been running a
business with her husband for the past 18 years. Laura is the
"behind-the-scenes" resource for the store. Check out

Store Changes
Everyone in the store has been working hard to update the look and feel of the shop. We've opened the store up by
moving around shelves and tables as well as clearing out some of the older
merchandise. We've been hearing great things from our customers about the
better lighting (although we haven't put any more lighting in - we've just let
more light come through the windows) and how it's easier to find items.
We're always open to suggestions, so please feel free to let us know what you
think when you visit.
Return Policies
- All sales are final except for knitting yarn.
Yarn may be returned within 90 days with a receipt.
- Needles are not returnable. Please note that
we are following the industry standard with this policy. Keep in mind
that customers (including you) are less likely to buy a set of knitting
needles if the package has been opened before, which means that we will not
be able to resell returned needles at full-price. If you need to try
needles out prior to purchase, please let us know and we will do our utmost
to accommodate you in the store.
- Books are not returnable. We keep a
relatively small number of each book in our store, and those books that look
used or worn are less likely to sell. Unfortunately, books that have
gone home in a shopping bag tend to look used.
- If a product was paid for by credit card or cash,
the refund will be made in the same manner. If it was paid for by
check and it has been less than 10 days since the original purchase, a
refund check will be mailed; if it has been longer than 10 days since the
original purchase, cash will be refunded if $20 or less, and a business
check or a store gift card will be issued for refunds more than $20.
- All sales are final on special orders and sale
items.
