Dear Laura, |
I want to thank everyone who has called to express concern about
my daughter Emily who arrived in Chile last Friday for a 5-month
high school exchange program. She survived the earthquake - a
bit shaken up (no pun intended) but unharmed. She had not yet
arrived at her host family's home in Nancagua, and from our
understanding many homes in that small town were destroyed.
Emily is temporarily staying with another host family in
Santiago and has been spending parts of each day volunteering
for quake relief efforts at a local University. I am very proud
of my daughter! If you would like to follow along with her
adventures, please visit her blog at
www.notesfromnancagua.blogspot.com. In the meantime, if I
seem a bit distracted, I hope you will understand...

Annual
Yarnover. This progressive knitting experience will
feature amazing workshops with Lucy Neatby and Cookie A and
exclusive special events at both venues Friday, Saturday and
Sunday. All events are scheduled to complement the main
event, Yarnover, on Saturday at Hopkins High School. Look
for a Friday morning opening breakfast, afternoon tea, and
evening gatherings with our guests of honor and an all-star
